Aquest castell, catalogat com a B\u00e9 Cultural d&#8217;Inter\u00e8s Nacional, es va aixecar als voltants del 1039 com una torre de defensa i vigil\u00e0ncia, tot aprofitant les caracter\u00edstiques topogr\u00e0fiques que l&#8217;emplacen.<\/p>\n<p>La primera documentaci\u00f3 d&#8217;aquest castell \u00e9s de l&#8217;any 1039, a partir d&#8217;un testament. En aquest, consta que la vescomtessa Eng\u00fancia feu una deixa de terres del seu terme al monestir de Sant Pere de Casserres (Osona). Posteriorment, fou propietat dels Cardona durant diversos segles.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Als nostres dies nom\u00e9s n\u2019han quedat unes restes consistents en tres murs que formaven part del per\u00edmetre exterior d\u2019aquest. Des del 2014 s&#8217;han dut a terme diverses intervencions les quals han perm\u00e8s adequar l&#8217;espai, fer-lo accessible i conservar les restes del castell.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Descobreix l&#8217;espai Castells de Marca, un espai patrimonial on es pot recorre el territori ara fa 1.000 anys i pels 7 castells que defensaven la Marca. Es tracta d\u2019un espai interpretatiu a l\u2019aire lliure, basat en el ric patrimoni castral que actualment vesteix un bon nombre de turons i tossals a l\u2019Alta Anoia. En aquest espai se situen, es divulguen i es posen en valor els diferents castells de marca, tots ells declarats B\u00e9ns Culturals d\u2019Inter\u00e8s Nacional (BCIN), amb diversos plafons informatius.
